Days out with the kids this Easter In Yorkshire

Spring has truly sprung already in Yorkshire and we’re all looking forward to the next school holidays and spending time with the family.  With Easter just around the corner, our team have been investigating the best places for days out with the kids this Easter holiday…

Visit SnoZone, Castleford

Are your kids a little bit older and full of beans? Take them to learn skiing and snowboarding in real snow at SnoZone and pop into the shopping outlet next door for a spot of lunch afterwards - you’ll all need a refuel!

Explore Tropical World in Roundhay, Leeds

Set in the leafy Leeds suburb of Leeds - Roundhay, Tropical World is home to a wealth of animals from charming meerkats to scary snakes.  Explore the stunning butterfly rooms, and take a walk through Roundhay for a light bite at the family friendly Roundhay Fox Pub.

Take the YorkBoat Tour, York

Explore the historical city of York as a family and take a boat tour along the river, then pop into Chocolate Story for some sugary treats - you’ll be the parent of the year!  If they’re not too easily scared, you can even stop off at the York Dungeons and have some spooky fun!

Meet Tractor Ted, Thornton Hall Country Park

If your children are still under 10, or you currently have a tractor fanatic at home - why not head over to Thornton Country Park on the edge of Skipton?  Meet Tractor ted, and all the farm animals plus you can visit the farm cafe for some sweet treats!

Take a steam train trip, Scarborough

This historic seaside town is the perfect spot for all ages of children - there’s legendary fish and chips, ice cream and the pier to enjoy. Ride the steam train across the North Bay, then take a walk along the beach - w
e can’t guarantee swimming weather but it’s a great spot for sandcastle building and fairground rides! Plus don't forget to visit The Deep too for some shark spotting!

Wherever you end up, we hope you have a wonderful Easter break with the family!
