Half term fun and games

Written by: Elmtree Press

There is lots of fun to be had this half term. Many of our great attractions have events and projects planned to keep your little ones happy and occupied

There will be spooky family activities at the Ripon Workhouse Museum this half term – you have the chance to meet their ghosts! Starting with Wendy the Witch's Monster Games, listen to creepy stories while making flappy bats and end up with a quick dash down their Corridor of Terror (if you dare!).  They're all bats there. All witches, ghost, vampires and monsters welcome, with a  prize for best costume

Captain Cook Museum’s Exhibition 'Whitby in the time of Cook, the making of a great seaman” will still be on view at the museum during October and will be a great half term trip.

Visit Kirklees Light Railway for some spooktacular fun! There will be creepy craft activities and spooky storytelling sessions which are totally FREE for those holding valid day tickets for the rail-way. These sessions will be drop-in & there's no need to book in advance. What's more, all children getting into the ghostly spirit of things in freaky fancy dress will travel for HALF PRICE! That's a chil-dren's rover ticket, valid ALL DAY on ALL TRAINS and playgrounds for just £2.75!

Join in the Hocus Pocus fun this October half term, if you dare at RHS Harlow Carr? Follow a spooky trail around the garden, listen to grizzly tales from the garden detectives and take part in creepy crafts & outdoor workshops. Normal garden admission.

After the success of their summer kids golf schools (24 juniors learning to play), York Golf Club have decided to hold an Autumn Half Term Kids Golf School. It'll take place on Thursday 1st & Friday 2nd November from 10am to 12 mid-day.
