At Thornton Hall Farm, this Saturday and Sunday there will be thrills galore with the animals with, spook-tacular activities & attractions.  Haunted maze, Lamb feeding with Farmer Dracula, Pumpkin Carving & more!  

Why not dress up in your very best Halloween outfit and take part in Stockeld Park’s Halloween catwalk.  Witches and wizards and lots of black cats, spooks and ghouls, masks and hats!  Just some ideas of what to wear, but choose carefully, there’s prizes to be won. FREE event. The is a wizard’s den to visit, facepainting and creepy crawlies to see. 

York’s Chocolate Story is inviting daring guests to take part in a thrilling spook-tacular shock-olate tasting session. Visitors to the attraction can try their luck by spinning the ‘Shock-olate wheel of fortune’ to receive either a yummy tasty treat or a ghastly rotten trick chocolate!

Join Lightwater Valley for the sixth renewal of their annual Halloween spooktacular as a cloak of supernatural delight shrouds the theme park if you dare!.  All manner of creepy ghouls and beasties lurk within the Valley, so tread scarefully and celebrate shocktober in style with mini, mega and ultimate scares for the whole family.  BE WARNED – the darker the night, the scarier the fright!!

Will you be scared at the home  of the popular Spooky Specials - Embsay and Bolton Steam Railway? During the daytime, trains will run with decorations and excitement. A witch hunt is set up around the Railway for you to take part in. On the Saturday night a separate TERRIFYING event will be held with genuine scares and surprises for all. Dare you climb aboard the Halloween Ghost Train at Kirklees Light Railway for an evening of frights to scare even the strongest of souls? Test your nerves aboard the ghost train taking you along the spooky line to the haunted woods!

Have you got what it takes to brave Bolsover Castle after dark? Discover deadly deeds and freaky fun around every corner as residents past and present invite you into a terrfying world of tricks and treats. Bring your own torches as you explore the site.

There will be both low levels of lighting and strobe lighting at this spooky event, so it is recommended that people with a nervous disposition and children under 10 do not attend. This event is not for the faint-hearted!

For older thrill seekers Thackray Medical Museum  has been quarantined after an incurable virus was discovered inside. On Halloween those who dare, are invited to enter the Quarantine zone and explore the museum after dark and after hours. Guests are advised to stay alert though, as the infected lurk behind every corner! 18+ only – ID may be required
