Don’t let the kids have all the fun, make sure that the furry members of your family enjoy the holidays too by taking them out for the day.

Rachel , our office manager occasionally brings her adorable pooches Alfie and Kimi into the office to see us.

As you can imagine we are always pleased to see them.

There are a number of dog friendly places (other than our office!) to take your faithful hounds to.  Fountains Abbey is a great place for “walkies” and imagine how many trees there are to water – it could be a long day!

Helmsley Walled Gardens welcome dogs too to all parts of the garden as long as they are on leads.  You can also share a cuppa there with Fido, at the Vine House Café where they are welcome at the outside seating area and in the first bay of the café.  Make sure he doesn’t pinch your sandwiches though.

There are plenty of wonderful scents to follow at Wolds Way Lavender, where you can explore the lavender fields, giant maze and the miniature railway.  You may need to avoid the working beehive though as dogs and bees don’t make a good combination.

If you fancy a faster day out with the wind in your ears why not visit the Embsay and Bolton Steam Railway

Remember that he can’t sit on the seats!

Yorkshire has the most amazing scenic countryside and there are lots of bunnies to admire if all else fails. A walk in the Yorkshire Dales or on the North York Moors will be a fantastic day out.  Remember to abide by the Countryside Code and keep your faithful companion under control at all times.  With our wealth of amazing wildlife in the area it is a lot more fun to observe it than chase it.

Alfie and Kimi are exhausted just thinking about the possibilities!
