Tour de Yorkshire 2018

We’re now gearing up to the next Tour de Yorkshire taking place across the county from 3rd to 6th May 2018. Below is a little bit more info about where each stage takes place, last year saw in excess of 2.2 million spectators lining the route so let’s try to beat that for 2018! (or if you can’t make it to any of the stage locations the whole race is broadcast live on ITV4).

Stage 1
Thursday 3rd May – Start 13:50 (Women’s Race 08:40)
Beverley – Doncaster (182km) Avg Time: 4hrs 30mins

Locations on route include: Beverley, Hornsea, Cherry Burton, South Dalton, Pocklington, Holme on Spalding Moor, Howden, Rawcliffe, Doncaster

Stage 2
Friday 4th May – Start 14:20 (Women’s Race 09:00)
Barnsley – Ilkley (149km) Avg Time: 3hrs 40mins

Locations on route include: Barnsley, Penistone, Conisbrough, South Elmsall, Pontefract, Castleford, Kippax, Otley, Ilkley

Stage 3
Saturday 5th May – Start 13:10
Richmond – Scarborough (181km) Avg Time: 4hrs 30mins

Locations on route include: Richmond, Leyburn, Bedale, Northallerton, Thirsk, Helmsley, Pickering, Filey, Scarborough

Stage 4
Sunday 6th May – Start 12:10
Halifax – Leeds (189.5km) Avg Time 5hrs

Locations on route include: Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Haworth, Skipton, Burnsall, Kilnsey, Kettlewell, Middleham, Masham, Pateley Bridge, Otley, Leeds
