Käthe Wohlfahrt is the all year round authentic German Christmas shop and is now celebrating its 55th year. Visit the York shop where you can browse through 10 rooms over 2 floors starting with nutcrackers and through to the glass baubles where you will be amazed at their 16’ tree leading up to the 1st floor. There you will find schwibbogens, pyramids and cuckoo clocks from the Black Forest.

Fosters Jewellers have been providing exceptional Jewellery and Silverware for over 30 years. The business has been successfully trading for 36 years and is now in the hands of Mr Foster’s daughter Caroline, with the continued support of Mrs Foster. Based within a beautiful period building in the shadow of York Minster, they are situated in High Petergate – one of York’s most picturesque streets.
Fosters offer a fine collection of new and antique Jewellery, Silverware, Clocks, Crystal and Objects D’art. They also provide a range of services from Commissions, Insurance and Probate valuations, to Clock and Watch services and repairs. Pyramid Gallery is a privately owned shop and gallery in the heart of York, close to The Minster. Established in 1982, Pyramid offers one of the country’s finest selections of British made contemporary crafts, jewellery and original prints. Owned and managed by Terry Brett, the gallery displays works predominantly made by UK based leading designers and makers who work in Glass, Ceramics, Wood and Metal as well as work by designer jewellers.
With two floors of a National Trust owned fifteenth century building, the work of up to 150 British craft makers and artists may be viewed and purchased. Displays are constantly changing and the two first floor galleries are used for regular exhibitions of which details may be viewed on the website. The Christmas Collection 2109 - ceramics with Ben Arnup and Anita Klein. The Exhibition is now open and the work of over 100 artists/craftmakers/jewellers is on display. The show also features the work of 3 award winners from the BCTF awards for excellence. Their prize at the Harrogate Trade fair in April was an exhibition spot at Pyramid Gallery. The three winners were Melina Xenaki, Darren Weed and Pawel Lech.
