Tabanco by Ambiente Claimed

Tabanco by Ambiente, found on Walmgate in York, is inspired by Southern Spains’ tabanco bars. It’s the perfect place to pop in for a solo visit and grab a cold beer or sherry with a nibble or dwell for longer over tapas and a bottle of wine with family and friends.

The dishes on our menu really epitomise the kind of tapa you’d find in these rustic bars (and we should know having done our fair share of research trips over the years!). Nibbles like olives and boquerones paired with a glass of sherry sit perfectly alongside Spanish favourites like albondigas, patatas bravas and gambas which can be enjoyed on their own or as a more leisurely fare.

Our drinks list will whisk you off to warmer climes with a host of Spanish flavours and inspiration in the form of sherry, wine, cerveza and sangria! Especially while enjoyed in our sun-soaked courtyard which is the perfect place to embrace the sun over some alfresco tapas.
