Voted the UK’s most festive city in the UK, York is a special place to visit during the festive period. Sadly, as a result of the pandemic, York’s St Nicholas Fair did not take place in 2020 but it will be back with aplomb in 2021 from 18 November to 23 December.

Shops, restaurants and attractions will also be bringing the festive cheer to residents and visitors alike. The Shambles Market and Food Court is also remaining open for shopping with its diverse selection of fresh produce, crafts and traders. A warm welcome is always felt in York at this time of year and a visually stunning 15km of lights will span the streets to transform the city this winter. They will be on to light up the York streets right until early Spring.
