RTTA opened at Aireville Park, Skipton in May 2018 and had a great first year with many compliments for our course and staff. For 2019 we have added a new hard loop suitable for teens and adults but with the right support the regular course is accessible for all. Make your way through the trees between 3.5-7.5 meters off the ground on suspended logs, wire walkways and wobbly bridges (that’s just the training area) then once you’re confident in your new found abilities its off to ‘The Long Walk’ and the main course with zip lines galore, manic squirrels, plank bridges, the SOS logs, tramlines and floating platforms to mention just a few. If you don’t like the look of the hard loop, don’t do it we have a shortcut straight to the high ziplines.
After harnessing and briefing you’ll be guided up the ladder into the training area where you’ll be supervised in the trees by two instructors, once everyone’s happy you’ll go onto the main course where you’ll never be far away from a friendly helpful instructor who can advise, come and show or arrange an aerial rescue (Spiderman Rescue for the kids) hopefully you’ll make it all the way round but if you don’t feel like it we won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to and thanks to our safety system if you feel the need for a break let the faster folk by and take your time. Most groups make it round the course in 60-90 minutes some have been round in 40 others in 2hrs 30min+ its very dependent on your ability.
Ground spectators are welcome and there are woodland paths through the course so come along and cheer on the adventurers. Dogs are welcome just not up in the trees but please be aware we have a lot of wildlife in the wood so please keep them under control.
Why not bring a picnic and make a day of it, Aireville Park has a great new play area and Craven Leisure offers pool facilities if that’s your thing, if you get a bit thirsty Revive Café can help you recharge and you can get a refund of your parking fee subject to a minimum spend.
We can take group bookings outside our normal hours. If you think you may need any special requirements please get in touch, if you want to visit we’ll do our best to make it happen.
As we’re getting more popular we now recommend booking either through the website, FB messenger, email or ringing on the day especially if it’s a nice day.
