paddocks - from giant rabbits to woolly alpaca’s spotty pigs and
miniature ponies. Watch the ducks and geese splashing in the ponds or
'talk' to the turkeys and hear them gobble back to you! Visit the
Worm-world and Mini-beast Mansion, get in touch with your senses and
dare to put your hands in the feely boxes. Learn some amazing wildlife
facts at the pond, wild-flower meadow and other habitats or take part in
our treasure hunt. See how quickly you can complete the adventure trail
and how far you can see from the top of the fort. When you want to
relax you can wander around the formal gardens and sit in the shady
arbours or gazebo where you can watch the colourful birds. See the fish
in the garden ponds or go through the door into the Secret Garden and
get great views of the wildlife pond and its inhabitants.
Filey Dams Nature Reserve
- The last remaining freshwater marsh of any size in the region. It
covers about 6 hectares, has interesting botanical specimens and is home
to a number of mammal, insect and amphibian species.

This attraction is a must for everyone come rain or shine. Get to know
all our animals up close and personal. We have rare and unusual breeds
including pigs, alpacas, chinchillas, hens, ducks, geese, cows, rabbits
and Guinea pigs.
For the wet days there are plenty of undercover
areas; there is an undercover picnic area and undercover straw barn,
where all the family can run around and play amongst the bales! There is
a huge indoor play area with a ball pool and tractor zone adventure
trail, a toddler area, and a gift shop and café. There is a large
sandpit with buckets, spades and sit-on diggers, which are also
undercover, so will protect you from the sun or the rain.The Moors National Park Centre
- Located on the outskirts of the village of Danby, The Moors National
Park Centre is at the very heart of the beautiful North York Moors and
is the perfect place to start any visit to the National Park. Find out

gallery, with its changing exhibitions of work by accomplished artists.
For kids, there’s an outdoor adventure play area and indoor climbing
wall, children’s trails and a lively events programme. The Children's Zoo at Sewerby Hall and Gardens
– Be introduced to an exciting world of mammals and birds at Sewerby
Zoo. Come and meet a wealth of domestic and wild animals from various
countries such as pygmy goats from Africa and llamas from South America.
Our newest additions, four ring-tailed lemurs can often be found sunbathing in their fabulous new enclosure.

During your visit you will see a large collection of exotic and
spectacular birds of prey. There will be three flying demonstrations
every day and very often, there will be opportunities to see the birds
being trained on the flying field. The Fountain Tearoom offers
wonderful home cooked food with a range of daily specials on the
blackboard. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available with
seating in the flying ground and picnic tables are situated in the Hawk

- This Animal Farm in East Ayton is a great place for your children to
play and learn. You'll have a great time exploring the farm and paddocks
and getting to know all the animals. Meet Henry the goat and pet our
donkeys Shetland ponies and horses. Play hands-on with our rabbits and
Guinee pigs. We have a selection of donated toy tractors and ride on toys as well as a grassed area with swings. Our Farm Shop sells
traditional farmhouse produce cakes and pastries freshly made in our

Whitby Regatta sails in during August featuring yacht and rowing races alongside a full weekend of entertainment – culminating with a spectacular firework display. As the darker nights roll in, September, welcomes the Goldwing Light Parade to Scarborough’s South Bay; this popular event is one of the UK’s most glitzy Goldwing charity events!
