Having fast become an annual event the Tour de Yorkshire causes a flurry of excitement as it rushes through the country roads of Yorkshire in early May. Scarborough has been lucky enough to host a stage finish each year so far, on the beautiful North bay.

Scarborough’s Maritime Festival - Seafest welcomes budding pirates and land lubbers alike, with live music from dawn to dusk, foods from around the world, demonstrations in the cooking theatre by top local chefs and over 30 food and craft stalls.
Filey hosts their annual Festival – ‘Return of the Dragon’. With live bands, musicals, motorcycle stunts and riding shows; go along and enjoy a weekend of free entertainment and family fun!
Whitby Regatta sails in during August featuring yacht and rowing races alongside a full weekend of entertainment – culminating with a spectacular firework display. For those who prefer their entertainment on dry land of the musical variety then stay on for the Whitby Folk week kicking off in and around the local bars.
As the darker nights roll in, September, welcomes the Goldwing Light Parade to Scarborough’s South Bay; this popular event is one of the UK’s most glitzy Goldwing charity events!
In October see Bram Stoker's inspiration in a new light as Whitby Abbey is bathed in dramatic illuminations. Have your camera at the ready as you explore the gothic splendour of the ruins lit up with all the colours of the rainbow.
