Fodder – Great Yorkshire Food Hall

From field to fork, it’s all about Yorkshire! Working with local farmers to bring you the freshest, tastiest food. Shop, eat in or takeaway.

The only shop and café where 100% of profits support Yorkshire farmers and the countryside through the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, a registered charity championing local agriculture.

A Brief History

Fodder was established in 2009 to help and support the local farming community.

We are committed to making high-quality, seasonal, and locally sourced food easily accessible. By encouraging consumers to eat local, we support sustainable agriculture and the regional economy.

In 2025, we proudly evolved into Fodder – The Great Yorkshire Food Hall, unveiling a fresh new look and a revitalised brand identity that strengthens our connection to our Charity, the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. With more Yorkshire produce than ever before, we offer our customers a truly unique experience – where shopping and dining come together to celebrate the very best of Yorkshire’s food and farming heritage. Whether browsing our carefully curated selection of local produce or enjoying a delicious meal in our café, visitors can immerse themselves in the authentic flavours of Yorkshire.

What We Offer Our Visitors:

Our shop celebrates the finest Yorkshire produce, packed with the freshest fruit and vegetables, mouthwatering cakes and bakes, a top-tier butchery and deli, and the largest selection of Longley Farm yogurts in the area.

We also have a butchery counter and proud to sell 100% quality Yorkshire meat, sourced the Yorkshire way – only from farmers we know and trust. Our team regularly visits each farm to ensure they meet our exceptional standards for animal welfare, husbandry, and quality.

Our deli includes award-winning pies, sausage rolls, premium cooked meats, and an incredible selection of cheeses.

Our café offers a selection of mouth-watering homemade food, bursting with wholesome Yorkshire flavours using produce from the shop and our varied menu offers something for everyone. We use Yorkshire meat from our butchery and local produce from the shop in our menus.  A Yorkshire Afternoon Tea is also available from 2pm – 3:30pm, Monday to Saturday (subject to availability)

If you’re on the move, we can serve you quickly from our converted 1960’s Airstream located in the Fodder car park, and open daily selling a range of seasonal, quality hot and cold food and drinks to take away.
