Bird of Prey Photography Day at Thorp Perrow

Spend a memorable day behind the lens with some of nature’s most impressive hunters. Our Bird of Prey Photography Day is designed especially for amateur photographers who want to improve their skills while enjoying close, responsible encounters with magnificent raptors. Led by two knowledgeable volunteers with a passion for birds of prey, the day is friendly, relaxed, and supportive. You’ll receive practical guidance on camera settings, composition, and timing, with plenty of opportunities to photograph birds both perched and in flight. No pressure, no jargon—just hands-on learning at a comfortable pace.

All equipment levels are welcome, from DSLR to mirrorless and bridge cameras. The focus is on enjoyment, learning, and capturing images you’ll be proud of. To make the day even more enjoyable, a picnic lunch is provided, giving you time to relax, chat with fellow photographers, and soak up the setting.
