Join us on Saturday 25 July for a special day celebrating the art of printing, featuring a demonstration of a working full-size replica Gutenberg Press.
Have a go at making your own lino cut and printing your own image, search the courtyard buildings on a brass-rubbing trail, and make your mark using old-school dip pens.
There’s something for everyone. Chat with skilled carpenter Simon Dunn, who handmade the replica printing press, and explore the images he carves.
Discover how the first Bible was printed and how this changed the way people learned and shared knowledge.
These family-friendly activities run from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
Children will leave with a personalised, in-house printed certificate.
All activities are included in the normal admission charge — and remember, your ticket lasts for 12 months.
