AN EVENING WITH BEN FOGLE

INSPIRE: Life Lessons From The Wilderness

Modern-day explorer, author, and presenter Ben Fogle will be appearing at The Garden Rooms at Tennants in Leyburn on 19th October for an evening of inspiring tales of epic adventures. Paul Freeman, Events Director of The Garden Rooms at Tennants says: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Ben to Leyburn. His much-loved television programmes have brought some of the most remote and beautiful parts of the world into our homes, and we are very much looking forward to him sharing with us more thrilling and reflective anecdotes from his travels.”

The talk will expand upon Ben’s latest bestselling book, Inspire: Life Lessons from the Wilderness, discussing how we can learn important lessons about living well from the natural world. Having embarked upon an astonishing series of feats across his 20-year career, Ben will regale the audience with life lessons his adventures have taught him, from what rowing across the Atlantic can teach us about boredom and patience, to how the isolation of the South Pole can highlight what is most vital in our lives. Reflecting on the importance of the natural world to each of us, Ben will use his wonder-filled stories to illustrate how we can all benefit from living a little more wildly, discovering a deeper connection with nature, even if it is just outside our front doors.

After the talk, there will be a Q&A session followed by a book signing. The Garden Rooms’ Bistro and Café will be open for dinner prior to the event.

Tickets, which start at £24.00, can be purchased from www.tennantsgardenrooms.com.
