National Curry Week is an annual celebration of the UK’s long-running love affair with curry. This year the event takes place between 6 and 12 October and it encourages people to explore the diverse, rich flavours & aromas of curry and raises awareness of Indian cuisine and its significant contribution to British food culture. The first National Curry Week took place in October 1998 and its now in its 27th year of celebrating one of the world’s most popular cuisines.

Nick Keegan, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at Wensleydale Railway said:

“This will be the first time that we have held an Indian curry train event at our railway. We ran an Indian afternoon tea train service in May this year, and it proved very popular with our customers. We received great feedback from the event and a lot of enquiries asking when we would offer another Indian food train experience. We therefore anticipate high demand for this curry train and have already sold over 50% of the available seats.”
