Malton Museum Roman Festival

Malton Museum Roman Festival

The Malton Museum Roman Festival celebrates the influence the Roman empire had on life in England and takes place on Sunday 21st July between 10:00 and 15:00 on Orchard Fields in Malton. The festival site is on the former Roman fort of Delgovicia which was first established in AD70-71. Roman re-enactors form the backbone of the festival with legionnaires and calvary units demonstrating Roman tactics and weapons in the display area. Beware - any visiting children may get recruited into the Roman Kids Army! The festival is family friendly with stalls, food and drink, hands on archaeology and kids’ activities. More information at the Malton Museum website.
