Carlton Towers is planning a programme of outdoor events to make the most of its 200 acres of rolling parkland this summer.

On June 1-2 owners are being encouraged to bring their pooches for Carlton K9, a fabulous doggy day out supporting National Foundation for Retired Service Animals a charity which cares for the well-being, and welfare of retired service animals from across the emergency services. Taking place over two days, ‘Carlton K9’ will feature demos from the Border Force and agility courses organised by Hazlehead Hounds Agility plus ‘have a go’ flyball. Refreshments on the day include a BBQ/Woodfired Pizza, Tea and Cake Tent and a bar. Tickets cost £5 each, with under 3’s and dogs free. £1 for each ticket sold will be donated to the charity. Opening times 10 am – 4pm.

Popcorn at the ready! Movie buffs can enjoy some classic films against the backdrop of the magnificent gothic style stately home during June, July & August. Barbie and Toy Story get first billing on June 22, followed by Frozen and The Greatest Showman on July 26 and The Lion King and Top Gun: Maverick on August 18. Screenings are at 1pm and 7pm on each of the dates. Tickets are £15 each, with under 3’s free. Food available includes BBQ or pizza or bring a picnic.
