Experience the sparkle of the season! As twilight falls, RHS Garden Harlow Carr is transformed into a world of magical winter wonders

Visitors can experience RHS Garden Harlow Carr after dark with a spectacular light trail, delicious seasonal food and drink, shopping and festive cheer.

This winter, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is celebrating the festive season with the return of its spectacular RHS Glow. On selected dates from 19 November – 23 December, the UK’s leading garden charity will light up RHS Garden Harlow Carr for an unforgettable Christmas experience.

The enchanting illuminations will return with a reimagined route, celebrating RHS Garden Harlow Carr’s most spectacular vistas and transforming the beloved landscape into a magical winter wonderland. Visitors can discover illuminated glasshouses, glowing tree canopies and favourite garden features in a whole new light, alongside seasonal food and drink, Christmas shopping and festive family entertainment.

Brand new for 2025, explore a figure of eight route around the garden that will lead to spectacular views of the Thaliana Bridge and reflections across the Queen Mother’s Lake. Immerse yourself in the rhythm, melody, and movement of ‘Octave’ an interactive light and sound experience. See the ‘Libellule’ dragon flies glowing with ethereal colour as they cast enchanting silhouettes. Step into a twinkling winter wonderland as ‘Snowballs’ adorn the trees; plus so much more!

Visitors can warm themselves with delicious seasonal treats at The Harrogate Arms Café with a tempting selection of Bratwurst and jacket potatoes or enjoy toasting marshmallows over a crackling fire. Enjoy a mulled wine or indulgent hot chocolate and choose from a tempting range of sweet treats at Betty’s Teahouse. There will also be plenty of opportunities to shop for Christmas gifts from the finest regional craftspeople in the Garden’s historic Bath House and explore the RHS Harlow Carr Garden Centre, brimming with unique decorations, gifts, and UK-grown Christmas trees.

Be immersed in the kaleidoscope of festive colour and thousands of glittering lights. It’s a perfect backdrop for family get-togethers and spending time with friends and loved ones at this special time of year.

All RHS Glow tickets must be booked in advance. Visitors are advised to book early to secure their preferred date and time.
