The 2025 Betfred St Leger Festival
The countdown is on until the prestigious 2025 Betfred St Leger festival returns to Doncaster, starting on September 11th and running for four days of action packed horse racing and unmissable entertainment.
For the first time ever, the 2025 St festival will be introducing a brand-new premium area on the County enclosure Champagne Lawn, featuring showstopping live performances across the first three days of the festival, including a different celebrity DJ on each day, soon to be announced. Whether you are an invested punter, adrenaline junkie, or simply fancy an unforgettable day out, the Betfred St Leger festival has you covered!
Ladies Day:
The highly anticipated festival will once again commence with The Betfred Ladies Day, the first of four days of enthralling horse racing and entertainment. On a day filled with glitz and glamour, attendees are encouraged to celebrate their style and dress to impress for the return of the iconic Style Awards. This year, the Style Awards will be in partnership with Meadowhall, and the best dressed racegoer will walk away with an impressive £1,000 Meadowhall gift voucher. Gok Wan will be on the decks after the racing, channelling his love for soulful uplifting house music, with a live DJ set that will leave guests dancing into the evening.
Doncaster Cup Day:
Attendees can expect to see some of the most prestigious racing of the four-day festival on the Betfred Doncaster Cup Day which gets underway on Friday (12th September). This is a day etched in the history of horse racing, with the oldest race currently run under the rules of horse racing and the final leg of the Stayer’s Triple Crown taking place. When the racing finishes, Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago from Café Mambo will be bringing the ultimate Ibiza tunes to keep racegoers vibing with iconic saxophonist tracks.
St Leger Day:
The flagship day of the Betfred St Leger festival takes place on Saturday (13th September) promising to never disappoint. This is a day that attracts the masses as 40,000 racegoers are expected to be in attendance to witness the nail-biting drama unfold in the world’s oldest classic and final of the season, the Betfred St Leger Stakes. Chris Stark has just been announced as the headline DJ who will be taking the stage by storm post-racing on the flagship day of the festival.
Sunday Funday:
The ‘Sunday Funday’ concludes the 2025 Betfred St Leger festival, consisting of a full day of family fun with a range of entertaining activities on offer. The closing day will also host the Leger Legends charity race, featuring ex-professional jockeys rolling back the years and going head-to-head in pursuit of glory.
